New dementia diagnosis

Hello,
My mom was just diagnosed with dementia. I need to know how to best support her and am looking for resources. thank you!

    This forum is a good place to start to get yourself educated; read a lot of threads and you'll pick up things you didn't even know you didn't know.

    I would also suggest calling your local Alzheimer's Association chapter and Council on Aging about what resources might be available in your area.

DH = Dear Husband
DW= Dear Wife, Darling Wife
LO = Loved One
ES = Early Stage
EO = Early Onset
FTD = Frontotemporal Dementia
VD = Vascular Dementia
MC = Memory Care
AL = Assisted Living
POA = Power of Attorney
