Can anyone share thoughts on a mobile service for getting mani-pedis at home?

Hello - I am wondering if anyone has had experience with having a mobile service provide in-home manicures or pedicures, and if you could share tips. I am not asking for any specific name of a business, just what your experience has been, pros or cons?

My mom is 85, living at home with very limited mobility. Usually, dad drives her to and from salon appointments, but has been unwell not able to drive her to the appointments.

I looked online and a few options were shown for specialists to come into a Senior's home and trim nails, and do nail polish as well as some will do hand/foot massage for an extra charge. However, I wonder how sanitary these mobile services are, and how routinely they clean their tools, etc.

Has anyone used one of these mobile services, and can you provide your feedback on your experience? I am not sure we can recommend any particular business or company, just would like to know your experience.

Thank you.

I would imagine such individuals are licensed and would follow best practices. That said, it can be hard to get beauty services outside of a CCRC, SNF or MCF because of the economics of scale.

Many people who avail themselves of nail services bring their own tools-- that would certainly be an option for you. In that case, the mobile services would be as sanitary as your dad keeps things.

Google mobile nail tech for seniors near you and then read all the reviews. They are licensed and know sanitary practices. found this.. good reviews on Facebook but check them out. https://www.herespa.com/services?scgid=1

Thank you, Diane. That looks like a good option.
