Daily Schedule Editable Templates

I am looking for an editable template I can use to create my dad's daily task lists so he can check them off each day without asking someone what to do next. He has a lot of help, yet we are trying to support his independence as much as possible. Ideally, the task list would come with realistic adult pictures--most of the items I can find are for children with Autism, so they are a bit too "kiddie." Sometimes these templates are called "visual schedules."

    I like Do2Learn for visuals.

While most are intended for school aged children, they do have resources for Adults & Seniors.

Welcome to the forum Miller--HB has personal experience with autism in her son, so her recommendations carry weight. I would add the comment that while lists may work for a while, I would approach it with a big grain of salt. There comes a point in dementia where lists and reminders just don't work any more. Not saying that it's not worth a try--but the brain may just not compute what the list is for. The same thing happens with medication boxes/pill minders--if you can't remember what day it is, pill boxes don't work. When that first started happening at out house, I tried putting a daily calendar in her bathroom to help her remember what day it was: didn't help. Recently the occupational therapist at our Memory Care suggested I put up a white board in my partner's room to remind here where she was and when I would be coming: hasn't helped. She forgets to read it, and the information on it just doesn't compute (including my name).
