shoes for swollen feet

Hi, I'm sure this has come up before but I'm trying to find some shoes for mom, whose feet are extremely swollen due to a combination of kidney disease and being in a wheelchair most of the time.

I tried these shoes from Amazon, but they weren't big enough—flap going over the top of the foot wouldn't reach the velcro on the other side.

Anyone have recommendations for something better? Thanks.

Go with slippers.

Easy Spirit makes extra-wide shoes that really are wide. Plus they're very light weight. You can search for them by size and width on the Macy's web site, where they are often on sale. I like these because there's lots of room in the toe, although they're a slide which might not be a good idea for your mom:

Square two boxes tend to be very good for those with swollen feet and toes, although they are hard to find.
