Well not a good day! Ants in my kitchen, nest cam offline for a week and can’t fix it! DH wants to sit in the kitchen and watch me clean the ants even though he can do a gazillion other things! IRS saying we owe $700 from 2017? And DH can’t remember where he “hid turbo tax”! So spend about 2 hours tracking that down ! Now he’s throwing a fit b/c I said I am worn out! Hate this! Thanks for listening!

JC, some days just don't go your way, do they? Sorry for that. If you want a good DIY ant killer, let me know. I found one a few years ago that really worked for us.

Im so sorry you’re having a bad day. I recently had to deal with ant problem, IRS recently returned my tax docs because I didn’t sign them and they needed another document, and my poor DH could only watch as I try to clean up his old drag boat to sell, so………I know where you’re at. I hope tomorrow gives you at least one bit of joy.

JC5, As Jeanne suggested make sure this is not a scam. The IRS generally only goes back three years in auditing taxes owed but can go back 10 years collecting taxes. Per the IRS link below, they will typically contact you through USPS mail, if you received a phone call then beware.

Thanks all! IRS totally legit apparently DH made an error when filling out turbo tax forms , now have to find $700 someplace! Yikes. And Ed would love a good ant killer! Tks

Here you are, JC.

This is a low cost method to get rid of ANTS once and for all. 

Instructions:

~One Cup Sugar

~THREE Tablespoons Boric Acid or Borax Laundry Soap

~THREE Cups of Warm Water

Mix the Sugar and Boric Acid together and slowly add the warm water, stirring all the time so the mixture will not get lumpy. Store is in a sealed jar and whenever you see ants simply take a used soda bottle or milk jug lid. Put a cotton ball in the lid and saturate the cotton ball with your sugar and boric acid mixture. It will not take much, just enough to fill the lid, if you spill any over the edge leave it, this will only attract the ants even more.

When you see the ants drinking the mixture, DO NOT kill them, let them drink and take the mixture back to the colony. This should kill the entire colony. In a day or two the entire colony should be gone. If you have small children or pets make certain they cannot get to this mixture since Boric Acid is hazardous.
