Good , Bad, Ugly of late Stage 7 update
I wanted to come back and update the post I put up last week.
My husband has now started sleeping around the clock and not eating or drinking . He went down to one meal a day, then half a meal, then nothing. So he hasn’t eaten or drank since Thursday ,
He is very comfortable since Thursday. So much better without the food. Before Thursday he was pretty miserable.
All his relatives that live near and never came to see him, all decided to come yesterday. 16 in all. Just nuts. Today we are limiting to just his brothers and sisters.
Now we just wait

BB, I'm sorry. You are in a very tiring time right now.

BB, I’m sorry, but I’m not sorry. We all know where this is going; may his transition be peaceful and calming. May you come out the other side stronger, knowing you did EVERYTHING for as long as you could. Praying for you and your DH. The sun will shine again.

May you and all who love your DH find peace of heart and mind as you go thru this transition.

(((Battlebuddy))) - ditto to Beachfan's post. Thank you for providing him safe passage at this sacred time. You are an amazing caregiver.
I was unable to find the prior posts from Stephanie Z(eman), RN, but I know you have hospice on board. We are thinking of you and your DH now. I hope you can get some rest - that's a lot of visitors!!!
Peace, love, and light.

Bittersweet I'm sure. The journey down that long dirt road is finally ending but now possibly the hardest part is beginning. IDK.
Kindest Regards and condolences and thank you for the updates on Stages 6 and 7!

I have followed your story since I joined years ago with particular attention as we are following not too far behind it seems. I have been inspired by your loving care of your DH. May his passing be peaceful. I know you took the absolute best care of him possible.

The fact that he’s comfortable is a good thing. 16 people in a day is a lot. Especially for you at this time. Thinking of you.

Battlebutty , my thoughts and prayers are with you and your dh. This is the hardest road I think any of us have ever been on. But you have been an inspiration for me. You did everything right for your dh and I think he knows that. Peace and strength for you.

(((Battlebuddy))) My thoughts and prayers are with you right now. 16 visitors is a lot - but what a lot of love they must have for your DH to be there.
I'll be thinking of you and watching for an update.
