Agression

My parents are in AL together dad has late stage Alzheimer's he has gotten aggressive the last 2 weeks. I live in az and the rest of the family is in wi. It seems the only time I hear from anyone is when something is wrong. The manager at the facility was in tears today when my dad yelled at an aide.

    kashmore, your situation sounds stressful. How is your mother's health? Is she your dad's caregiver? Your mom or someone should take your dad to go see his doctor about the aggression. In some elders, having a UTI will cause them to behave abnormally, sometimes aggressively. So have the doctor test him for that just in case. If it's not UTI, then he needs better medication to manage his aggression. Hope the situation will improve soon.
