I found this online and thought I would share. I haven't used it yet but keeping it in case I need it later. They do haircuts, pedicures, manicures. They do not wash hair though. They also have senior companionship & house cleaning. They are in 12,000 cities in the US. If anyone has used them let us know how it went. https://www.herespa.com/?fbclid=IwAR053xtIWVnRK73Wn9zLkTSjABG35wssDJYUAq08JYv72725TEKhFo1LG9k

Thanks! I set up a nail appointment for my DH. It seems a little pricey, but it will be worth it if it works out. I'm always afraid I'm going to cut too close to his skin.

On the other side of the coin - many questions:

While it initially sounds good, this is an odd sort of business to take on a national scope. Looking at their own site info, it presents a group of people, (photo but all are masked and not a single identity listed), who may or may not be those who have set up or are working at setting up a sort of nationwide "temp" agency for a variety of personal services; mostly grooming. There is no information about where they are physically located nor do they identify who the people are who own the business and their qualifications. How do they follow quality of services and how do they manage and handle problem issues that may arise. How responsible are they legally, how do they handle financial or even physical harm issues or are they at all responsible if they use vendors or individuals in different cities and states where laws are often going to be different?

They are actively looking to recruit service Vendors . . . you can click on the word Vendors on their site where they mention reimbursement as well as providing a complimentary "insurance." It would be a pricier service as the primary temp business must get a cut of each and every service provided.

If there is a Vendor (salon owner or other such vendor), if they can provide the staff willing to do such services but then the salon or primary business also needs a cut of the fee as well as the primary temp agency.

Personally, I would be very cautious re risks. One does not know who is coming into the home; and I do wonder if they do criminal background checks for such an endeavor and ensure licensing is current and stays current. Just thinking.

Basically, if one contacts their local salon or other nearby salons, one can often find that they have beauticians and manicurists willing to make home visits. I did this for my mother who had her hair and nail care done as needed from known staff from a local salon. I myself have had a wonderful beautician from my salon come to my home when I was in a position to need such a service.

    Just be very careful.

    J.

So I don't recommend. The service was OK but not great. The woman who came (2 hours late - luckily we have no where to go) doesn't seem to have experience with dementia so she's been a little nervous.

    Oh well....
