My Mom Died
Hi there. I haven't been on here for awhile since my mom was in Stage 7 and nothing much changes then. For some reason though I felt the need to come here today to report to you all that she died on Saturday. I guess it's just to have those of you who know what it's like witness her. It was September last year that I posted she had entered the final stage and here we are 11 months later and she is FINALLY free of this terrible disease. I am SO happy for her, so relieved that her suffering has ended. I feel oddly more connected with her since she died on Saturday. I no longer have to think about her physical body and all the trials associated with being alive but not really living. I don't have to worry about what is happening in her mind, if she is scared, confused, panicking. She is done with that now and I am just so glad for her! My prayer is now for all of you and your loved ones and for a cure or treatment for those of us genetically predisposed to this nightmare disease. All love and blessings.

It is hard to know what to say other than yes, she is at peace. Hopefully your memories of her from happier times will comfort you. If you feel like it, come back and hang out here as a mentor to those of us still on the path.
