Bathroom help
My mom is in mc since April. She is having trouble finding the bathroom, so when she has to go, she is literally pulling her pants down and having accidents all over the facility. We have upped her care, so they are with her and taking her to the bathroom at least every two hours. But she will lay in her bed and get up and have an accident on her floor. To be very clear she is not using the bathroom in her pants. She’s pulling her pants down and using the bathroom on the floor. We are concerned about putting a bedside toilet because she could trip over it. (Her vision is really getting bad.) Does anyone have any suggestions? We tried to give her pants with a belt to take away her ability to pull her pants down until we can get her in the bathroom, but then she just pooped on the pants and the belt.

This is a company that many have used here
I would give them a call and see what they offer. I would also ask the MC facility what they think works best.
Then I would invest in clothing that she can not pull down. Yes, she will "go" in the disposible but that it what is meant to happen.

There are also clothing companies that make clothes that fasten in the back so that she cannot take them off. This would obviously force her to use a diaper, but that may be preferable to having her kicked out of the facility. I'll see if I can find the company name, I haven't used it personally but it's been on these boards before....
Found it, Buck and Buck. Googling around there's also a company called Silverts...both are probably worth a look....
