This is myself and my hubby Jon when things were good and this shitty disease had not yet happened.

Great picture Buggsroo it's good to see your post. Liked your thermometer in the background, I laughed because it's Celsius and Fahrenheit ours is Fahrenheit and Celsius. Depends where you live I guess.

Buggsroo, I know how you must feel, as it is really a special responsibility and mind boggling sometimes, being the half of our partnership or marriage that holds all the memories now, for both. With the progression, sadness, drama of earlier days, and now just loss -- it takes extra effort to place the lovely times front and center in the midst of the storm. Who really, can do that? Not I, at least not very often. So, thank you for the reminder that we did all have better days at one time, and that reflecting on them is healing and precious.

Your description of this disease is so right, and I chuckled at the "shitty" recalling some of your blue glove adventures though I remember they were anything but funny to you at the time. The things dementia does to our sense of humor and overall way of thinking - at least me anyway. This horrible disease changes our LOs, our relationships, and us - that's for sure.

Buggs, you've inspired me to pull together a collage of my DH and me pre-Alz, to even help ME remember this amazing man for who he truly is. Maybe you can make one for your Jon's door, just so folks can get a glimpse of the two of you, and him, in some of your favorite moments.

I also like the idea of making a poem with the letters of his name, to describe some of his best qualities or favorite things. Here are links to some examples: https://www.cafepress.com/+ava_flowers_scroll_mousepad,1879841962
