Time for a Laugh

One thing that gets me through the day are the laughs I and DH still share. As you probably can infer from my handle, I and my DH are fierce Buffalo Bills fans. We have been looking forward to the Bills Jets game all week. So I turn the game on. After the very stirring 9/11 introduction, it is time for football. My DH starts cheering for the Jets! I gasped. What are you doing I ask him! He said I am from NY City (we have lived Upstate for 40 years). I said, honey this is non-negotiable. We are Bills fans. He looked at me for a minute and studied my face. He quickly started rooting for the Bills.

Love this. I'm not a Bills fan but I agree that rooting for the Jets is just wrong ;-)

Thanks for the laugh. I needed that today. My DH had been confabulating lately and recently told my daughter that I gave my step-Dad $9000 for his birthday! My daughter didn't miss a beat and said to my DH (her step-Dad)... where's mine? LOL. Another funny, after I finally got him to agree to allow me to do his pills for the entire week (took me a year), I got them all organized and set up in pill dispensers, he took a $10 bill out of his wallet and gave it to me and said thanks and here's your tip. LOL.

My husband loved to watch football and it was something we could do together. His last year at home whenever we watched a game he would complain that all the rules had changed and the game was not being played properly. He got so frustrated because he couldn’t understand it that we went back to Gunsmoke.

Thank you for the laughs. Gig Habor , Gun Smoke is about the only thing my dh will watch now. He used to love watching the Dallas cowboys, that was the highlight of the week, he had me record the game so he could watch it over and over until the next game, now he doesn’t know who they are. So gun smoke is on!

Watching Gunsmoke made me realize my DH is now watching Wonder Woman & Women's Wrestling. LOL.

Just had this with my SO and the US Open tennis. We've watched that together for two decades now and she was convinced this year the rules had changed and that's why it didn't make any sense to her. And so we got to watch another episode of NCIS instead.

Once again, I read the comments from you all and it makes me realize my DH's behavior is normal for his condition. While watching our season opener (Bucs vs Vikings), after asking me many times which color was which team, he decided to root for the Vikings instead of our home team. He just thought they were better - maybe he just liked the purple color. Lol!
