Hi Ruthie. Welcome to the forum that nobody wants to need. It's a good one, and it's helped many people, including me.

If you let us know where you are in Texas, someone might have an answer for you. If you don't get an answer, try contacting memory care facilities to see if they offer respite stays. Many do. And if you don't find something there, maybe join a local caregiver support group. The local groups are excellent for getting answers on local questions. I wish you luck.

The VA recommended a company called Assisting Hands. We're in FL and I am very happy with their care & service. They have locations in TX. I would find a location and read the online reviews for them before contacting them. https://assistinghands.com/
