FAITH OR SINK

Matthew 14:30-31

New King James Version

But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!”

And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?”

MEDITATION:

Trust in the Lord and the pursuit of peaceful thoughts are habits worth practicing. Hope the suggestions below encourage you. Hang in there, caregiver!

-Praise and thank the Lord. Ask Him for help with your fears and troubles.

-Have faith! Remind yourself often, the Lord is helping you, so don’t allow upsetting thoughts to creep back into your mind.

-Keep reminding yourself the Lord will guide you every day and give you His perfect answer at the right time.

-As needed, pray for the Holy Spirit’s help with thinking hopeful, positive thoughts.

-Write your favorite Bible verses on cards, and think on them throughout the day. An example:

Jeremiah 29:11 New Living Translation

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”

PRAYER

Jesus, thank you for always reaching out to me and pulling me out of sad, dark places. May I take Your hand by trusting You for everything I need today and in the future. I praise You for Your eternal goodness and never-ending love and care for me. Amen.

TAKE AWAY: Thank the Lord for your small and large blessings.
