M1
Just wondering if things are getting a little better for you personally.

It remains tough Ed. My breathing is better, but the new complication is debilitating back pain. No epidural or surgery feasible for at least six months, and so far no success in medicating it. I go see my partner and come home to go bed. Trying to make myself do one thing a day, which might be as simple as paying a bill. All i can manage for now.

Praying for you M1 and your partner. I hope your doctors can find something to help you with all the pain. Please take care of yourself.

Floating on my back in a warm-water indoor therapeutic pool helped me with back pain. Floating takes the pressure of gravity off the muscles and ligaments and allows the muscles to fully relax. If you can find an indoor pool, this might help.

M1 - the one med that got me through an episode of S1 nerve root compression was pregabalin. You’ve likely tried it?

Not yet Marta. Gabapentin and tramadol aren't touching it. Im not supposed to be taking Nonsteroidals but have because im so miserable. Another appointment next week. It's going to be a long six months before they will consider any intervention, sadly.

Hi M1,
I am a fellow back pain sufferer, so I can appreciate the pain you are in. I am so very sorry. If you pain is burning, I would suggest cold belts you can purchase on Amazon. I have 4 that I keep in the freezer and cycle them through the day. I carry a back cushion with an ice back in it when I have to go somewhere and sit. My doctor recommended trying medical marijuana. I have a card to purchase it and use it only at nights with CBD. It doesn't take the pain away but helps me get to sleep. I have neuropathic pain in my legs to my feet at night so without the marijuana I wouldn't get any sleep. The pre-gablin helped soften the neuropathy but didn't take it away. I sure hope you get some relief. I hope my information helps you. I will be praying for some relief. You have been through so much and you don't deserve this suffering.
