For the dog lovers among us, the Washington Post had an article yesterday about a brewing outbreak of respiratory illness in dogs that is highly fatal and unresponsive to treatment (probably viral but they are not sure yet). It's showing up in group settings like kennels and daycare, and can start with a cough like the easily treated 'kennel cough.' May want to check it out....

    My vet’s office was already on lockdown when I had to take my Kody to the hospital yesterday.
