Return From Respite Stay?

I've been reading posts on respite stays but haven't found any answer to one question I have.

How did your LO do upon return home? How did they readjust to being home?

What stage is your LO and how long is the respite stay?

Stage 5 for my DH, 1 week was ok but still threw him off somewhat. It was more of a reaction to his med schedule being changed unnecessarily, to fit the staff nurse's schedule. P'd me off, royally but you have to simply work to get them back to baseline once they're back home. It took us 2-3 weeks for that reacclimation, I think.

I'm not sure of the length of the respite yet. She sees the ortho again Jan 4 & I may want to have her there until that appointment. We're hoping the injury will have healed enough by then to make getting in and out of my house, etc safer.

I don't think the med thing will bother her too much. But I just wonder what other things might.

I would say she's probably state 5 somewhere, although it varies day to day.

The rehab says she's wonderful to work with, except for the trying to get up by herself.
