Anger

My DW was diagnosed 6 years ago with early-onset Alzheimer's. I'm 70 years old and retired two months ago. We live in Texas and relocated to her hometown in order to be closer to and gain the support of her family.
The actual question is; how do I deal with her anger? She goes into a towering rage. Sometimes for what appears to be no reason. I've actually been asleep and she will get enraged about something.
I can deal with almost anything. Yet how do I deal with accusations that have no merit?

My husband had vestiges of the anger. I would advise you to contact your doctor and get a prescription for a medication to control the outbursts. If it escalates, she may harm you or herself. You are doing this for your own safety and hers as well. I wish you peace.

This type of behavior is best controlled by meds.

Her anger is upsetting for her, too. Meds will help her feel better and allow you to be a better caregiver.
