Hi Iris,
Hi Iris,
I hope all is well with you. I have missed you and our dear friend who moved to the trailer park in California.
I would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year! And many more to come.
I just came back from a trans-Atlantic. While I had a good time, I am running out of steam to continue doing these. I am in bead by 6:30 PM each day. I did post a long update on anther thread here at AA. I have no plans to come back to this site.
Take care my friend.
Michael

Hello Michael! It's so good to hear from you! I think about you often, also Alz+. How is your lovely wife doing? Did you go on a cruise across the Atlantic? I have not been able to travel this year; last summer (2022) I got Covid, and although the cough is gone, my body still seems fatigued as an after effect. However, even though fatigued, I still have insomnia and sleep poorly. I have been using a CPAP machine for the past two months, and slowly I am feeling some relief from the fatigue.
I wish you and your wife a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Sorry to hear that. I had covid and recovered but was verry sick for a few weeks. Yes it was a transatlantic and our first one. It started in Spain Barcelona and ended in Fl. We did this during the time change and it real worked out great. For about 6 days we gain an extra hour each night. That gave me the opportunity to get extra sleep and recover. While I had a good time it was a bit challenging and I was in bed by 7 PM every night. I no longer can handle any noisy environments.
My wife is doing good and enjoying staying home to much. I wish I could still work and she just loves to be home. You would think she would want to be at work instead of being her with me giving her grief.
I think my next trip will be to Nashville Tennessee. I think I will drive there. We just need to do research at this time.
I do enjoy going out a lot for a good meal. I tend to go out around 2 -3 pm when it is quiet. I just love it when the place is empty.
I have worked on many projects around the house. Never easy but I eventually get it done with a lot more cost and never perfect.

Wow I decide to just look at a few posts. I am shocked by them and so glad I left. People with dementia get no companion here. I think you would be less stressed if you could walk away from here. They are lucky to have you here.

Michael, I cannot abandon the newly diagnosed. Also I like to give the caregivers a response from the perspective of a person with memory loss. I learned so much from you and the other patients who posted. We really supported each other. I just wish the new members would post more, so they can receive peer support.
As far as doing tasks and chores around the house, I find I am capable if I take my time and if I remove distractions.
Lane Simonian continues to post what you forward.
Enjoy your trip to Nashville. I'm going to New Orleans with my travel group later. Stay warm during the winter.

My husband was diagnosed year ago. I was telling him about this site. That there are really nice people that have been diagnosed too. Encouraging him to become A member too. You give great information so I can. Understand how he is feeling. That we can have full great life together. The caregiver side makes it seem like. My husband is not person or partner to me. Yes he has dementia that is just diagnosis. That define him. We still laugh and enjoy each others company. I love him very much and nothing is going to change that.
