CHRISTMAS REMINDS US WE ARE LOVED, BLESSED AND SAVED!

Genesis 22:15-18

New Living Translation

15 Then the angel of the Lord called again to Abraham from heaven. 16 “This is what the Lord says: Because you have obeyed me and have not withheld even your son, your only son, I swear by my own name that 17 I will certainly bless you. I will multiply your descendants beyond number, like the stars in the sky and the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will conquer the cities of their enemies. 18 And through your descendants all the nations of the earth will be blessed—all because you have obeyed me.”

Note: Jesus, our Savior, is descendent of Abraham. Jesus' birth, His sacrifice on the cross for our sins, blesses all believers from all nations.

Matthew 1:21 New King James Version

And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”

MEDITATION:

Christmas and every day of the year are times to be joyful and thankful for our Lord's amazing plan to save each one of us from our sins through His Son, Jesus. Those of us who have accepted Jesus as our Savior our forgiven of all our sins and our blessed beyond measure. Now we can have a personal relationship with God forever. 

YOUR JOURNAL

When we accept Jesus as our Savior, His Spirit (the Holy Spirit), comes to live in our hearts. If we cooperate, His Spirit grows us to be more and more like Him in all we think, write, say and do. What changes have you noticed in yourself as you seek to cooperate with the Holy Spirit?  

PRAYER FOR YOU AND ME

Father God, thank you for planning all along to save me from my sins through Your Son, Jesus' sacrifice on the cross. Your love for me is more than I can comprehend. Guide me through Your Spirit with the right words and actions so others around me may come to know and believe in Your Son as their Savior. Amen.

TAKE AWAY: OUR GREATEST JOY AT CHRISTMAS is remembering Jesus' love and why He came to earth.
