Going to give you something to hold on to. My partner has a fierce temper but was always fair. She had to be tough, she ran male construction crews for thirty years, and they all both loved her and feared her. She had them eating out of her hand most of the time but would not hesitate to throw someone off of a job site for stupidity or shoddy work. In the early days of her dementia I was the inevitable target of her mounting anger and frustration. A violent threat against me (over driving) was what landed her in the hospital and then in memory care. Now, 20 months later as she is (somewhat) settled and her disease has progressed, she is generally very loving and sweet. She doesn't remember much of our past, but tells me all the time that she loves me with all of her heart. I give you that to look forward to....
