Hi all. I'm Lorraine. My husband, son and myself moved in with my younger sister back in 2019 to help her later down the line with mum's journey.
Here we are 4 years later and mum has deteriorated significantly since christmas. She doesn't sleep at night.
She is in and out of the bedroom, up and down the stairs at least 16 times from 11pm to 8am. Then she sleeps until 11am. We've done everything we can think of. My sister does the night shift and is writing down everything mum does during the night. This includes making her bed, getting dressed to "go home". Looking for things that we just don't own. Etc.
My sister is calm, returns mum to bed etc. Thankfully mum isn't aggressive or argumentative so things are calm. Mum talks to herself a lot and is urge incontinent. Her core strength isn't strong anymore but coming down the stairs all those times is worrying us. I'm sorry for rambling. There's so much more going on than I'm explaining but I had to tell someone who knows what we're going through.
