Certified Elder Lawyer

Does anyone have any suggestions on what questions I should ask when I meet with the Elder Lawyer? I plan on asking about Wills, trusts, Power of Attorney, and protecting assets. I am sure there is more I should ask or be worried about that I do not know.

One that's worked for me in various situations is to briefly outline the situation and then ask, "what are the most important things I should be asking you?"

I agree with both of the above posters. You can express your concerns and ask very general questions and then let the attorney guide the conversation - they know which questions to ask and what information they need.

It might be a good idea to ask how Medicaid works in your state, even if you don't think you will qualify or need it.

Asking him/her what are the important questions you should have is an excellent suggestion.
