Veterans with dementia

I an a Vietnam Veteran recently diagnosed with Alzheimers. Iam having hallucinations of my bedroom floor turning into a lake.

    Welcome Barrsalem. Have you discussed this with your neurologist or primary care doctor? What medications are you on? There are medications that can ameliorate hallucinations if they are disturbing to you. These must be prescribed by a specialist.

    Yes I am on medications they can slow the disease but not stop it. and I will see a specialist next week . I am also on the waiting list for the local Veterans Home when my disease gets to. The point where my wife cannot take care of me.

    You and your wife might want to review threads relating to veterans because there is good information on getting a disability rrating.

    A thread is the name for a string of posts on a topic. For example, you have started a thread titled "veterans with dementia". A single writing is called a post, a lot of posts make up a thread.
