I just have to share my good news with you lovely people. After 6 months of taking care of my mom without a peep from my brother, literally not communicating with me at all, he finally sent me several texts today. He's ready to engage. I feel a million times lighter! ❤️

Yay! That is great for you, NUMber2. Always nice when we can have some good news. Thanks for posting that.

Even if brother starts off with small help, I know you are already feeling better that he is willing.

That is good news! Thanks for sharing. I have found that even though my sister lives out of state, just being able to talk with her about mom's care makes it more bearable.

Great news! I suggest to take things slow with him. Maybe let him set the pace of how much he wants to know and how involved he wants to be. Too much too fast may scare him away. Hate to be a downer, but if you keep your expectations low you may only have pleasant surprises. I hope all works out well.
