Devices for blocking calls on Land-line?

My apologies if this has been addressed already, I searched the site & couldn't find anything.

We recently moved my Mom into Memory Care; she's never been able to figure out cell-phones, but I'd like her to have a land-line so I can call her on days that I can't visit her; she also has siblings/cousins who would like to be able to chat with her.

Prior to this move to MC, the phone was a problem with constant scammers. Ideally, I'm hoping to find an option where Mom can only receive calls from about 6 numbers that are "pre-approved," but that may not be possible. I've searched a bit on-line and found some options, but I'm wondering if anyone has any personal experience with these devices.

So... has anyone had any luck with this type of situation?

Look at The Alzheimer's Store, i remember a product called teleCalm? We looked into it but didn't ultimately pursue it.

We have a landline that has a feature to block anonymous calls and also has nomorerobo as an optional, free add on to catch some of the robo calls. We have our phone via Verizon Fios where we also have cable and internet.

Note that we had to switch our landline to use the digital network that provides our cable and internet instead of the traditional copper wire (older landline type) to get these features. I don't know details about what is actually required since I wanted all 3 services. This was several years ago; there may have been advances in options for traditional phone service since then.

The important thing is that you make sure that the features a phone provider offers are available with the type of phone service you can install. That wasn't obvious to me as I read about phone features at the time.

Not exactly what you asked, but I hope it helps.
