My DH is struggling with words. I've started a list to help track his decline.

When he watches TV, he pauses the program and then fast forwards through the commercials. Yesterday he called this, "cutting the in betweens."

Sometimes we have to find the rumor and just laugh. My wife has no idea what the remote is, she'd probably try to use it as a phone. "Cutting the in betweens" that's a good one. My wife use to do similar stuff. I'd like to see your list.

My spouse used to want to go to "that place...where we had the yummy stuff." There's no telling whether it was a dinner place, ice cream place, breakfast place--they all have yummy stuff. Language is his most noticeable loss, and meaning has been gone for a long time. I wish I'd kept a list of some of his sayings when he couldn't remember the words, but I'm afraid we're beyond that now, for the most part.
