Thank You.
Last night at 11:50PM my husband passed into the hands of God. He had been completely unresponsive to the nurses and to me all day. I talked to him all day about our lives together, about how I had loved him every day for 38 years and had been IN LOVE with him every day for 38 years, even through our darkest times. We had always been 100% loyal to each other and had the good fortune of working side by side for decades. I stroked his head, kissed him, massaged his shoulders, held his hand. I told him that his beloved father was there for him, and I asked him to please come and get me as soon as he could. I asked his forgiveness if I had ever somehow hurt him. I learned what the death process looks like. God made it gentle for him. I was overcome with the presence of God, I felt Him everywhere in the room with us. I took my husband's hand as I told him for the last time that I loved him. There was a quick jerk of a squeeze from him. Thank you all for helping me deal with all that lead up to this, it made it possible for me to go on. My heart is with every one of you in this journey.

@Dogsaremylife What a beautiful testimony. You did it! Provided him safe passage and you entered Stage 8 together, both free from the ravages of this disease. We all should be so blessed at this inevitable stage for all humans, though it is so hard so say farewell for now. As you know, you had and have, an ever present comforter. How awesome, mighty, and amazing. From my heart to yours. Wishing you peace and healing in time.
