I’ve been struggling with getting DH on a regular routine. He wakes up anywhere between 7:30 to 9:30, has his coffee, sits in pj’s watching TV till 12-1:00. He will then say he will get dressed but only changes his pants if at all. He has worn the same clothes to bed and all day for days on end. Tried waking him at a regular time just to be met with total disagreement. Same with changing clothes before noon . Ask him to do simple chores and all I get is I will! It’s tiring and frustrating! Suggestions?

I always tell my DH that I will do my exercise tape and he can take a shower then we’ll go “somewhere” - grocery, a ride, Walmart etc. He will get right up and go shower because he likes to go in the car. If he keeps wearing the same pj pants, I hide them until laundry day while he’s showering, and put a new pair out for later that night. Most days we do go in the car, but if we don’t , it doesn’t matter because he forgets that I told him we were going away by the time he gets out of the shower. I know everyone with this disease is so different, but this works for my DH.
