Newly diagnosed with Alzheimer’s

don’t know what to do. Living in a black hole where I live. For whatever reason when I call Alzheimer Association, when they call back it goes straight to voicemail. My anxiety is through the roof along with my depression. I can't type fast on my phone. Sorry just lost right now. I'm not sure if I am doing this correct or not.

Welcome Griff! The correct way is whatever works for you. I'm glad you've found this message board because you can get good suggestions here.

When you call the Helpline and ask to speak with a Care Consultant, tell them you want to stay on the line. Also, be sure that the ringer of your telephone is not on MUTE. I had that problem a long time ago, and wondered why I was not getting any calls. I was getting calls, I just couldn't hear them.

Depression is not uncommon. I fell into a deep depression. I came out of the deep depression thanks to the support from the members on the message board. Peer support is invaluable. Are you on any medication?

Please post back, we want to know if you are getting help.
