Another sad day.... grandma thinks her granddaughter is grandma's cousin.

    What occasionally worked with my grandmother when she did not recognize me was I would walk out of the room, wait a few minutes and then walk back in, announcing myself and calling her by the name I used for her. It was a reset. Eventually, it stopped working, but such was the progression of her disease.
