We moved mom from my brothers house to AL Sunday. He let her do all the packing, which wasn’t much. Using the suggested packing list from the facility (very basic, toilet paper, hand soap..) he had mom pick out everything she thought she would need at the store. Based on that you can probably imagine how it went. I got to his house and mom is wearing a shear see through blouse with nothing underneath but her bra, tight winter leggings with depends( it was 80 outside). We managed to get her to put a shirt under it. I twisted my ankle and had to count on my brother to bring the second load. I had expected to go through her room without her, but was forced to stay at AL with mom. He figured mom got everything she needed so he only brought the big items. She packed 10 sweaters( she doesn’t run cold) and only 4 summer shirts. But packed craft beads, 3 mattress covers, cupcake topper decorations???, a shirt that looked like it belonged to a child, no bath soap, no shampoo, no night light and no waste basket. She says it’s no big deal she will be going back to his house later in the week to sort through what’s left in her room(she will not). My brother ended up going to the store after for some of the missed items and I went home to ice and elevate my foot. I hope to go to his house Wednesday to sort through clothes and bring her a few more things to wear and nab the shear blouse and leggings so she never wears them again. I can hear my younger version of mom saying I can’t believe you would let me out in public like that. My brother was going to get the income tax refund check that she refused to give us and had hid in her dresser. He didn’t and now we don’t know where it’s at. We think maybe her purse. What a mess.

At least she's there. All the other things will sort themselves out. Well done!

The move is something major off the Todo list. Even with the odds and ends I imagine you can breathe a little easier.l hope the ankle feels better soon.
