HOLIDAY TRAVELING
This Memorial Day my wife and I are going to Poland Springs in Poland Maine for the weekend for the first time since my diagnosis, I hope that I do no act up. The doctor gave me 2 new meds to help slow down the progression of my ALZ. They seem to be helping it is now rare for me to feel like that the walls are closing in on me and my nightmares have changed to funny dreams one time I woke up singing Christmas Carols and another time I woke up singing Amazing Grace these types of dreams are better than the nightmares I was used to having. Has anyone else had these types of dreams?

Hi David, the thought of you waking up singing made me smile. That does sound so much better than what you were experiencing. Best wishes for your travels.

I'd never heard of Poland Springs, it looks like a nice place. I hope you enjoy your time there. It's great that the dreams are more mellow.

hi Iris. I saw my neurologist last week for the results of my neuro-psych cognitive testing! I thought my memory was worse plus other deficits.
I am on Aricept, walk, and other good things! I am a retired RN, BSN. Therefore, I read a lot and try to keep up with dementia-AD.
I was diagnosed in 21. He has done these test for I’m 23, 24.
I have no major changes from last year! I am so excited! I was so afraid to hear the results.
Just wanted to share!!
Thank you for reading.

Dlubritz, this is great news that you are maintaining! Keep up the good work!
Please read my thread about Mimi S. She realized that doing Best Practices actually improved her functioning.
