welcome to the forum. You can find more information about it at clinicaltrials.gov. It sounds like a very complex study design with a lot of (maybe too many) variables. The study group can be subject to a lot of pretty intense therapies including hyperbaric oxygen. It also is of pretty short duration for determining “dementia reversal” and they are recruiting a fairly small number of subjects. I’d personally be kinda skeptical. Doubt that it will have sufficient power to show much.

It looks like the lead investigators have affiliations with Dr. Bredesen. It sounds similar.

My impression was that Bredesen's protocol was still very much a lifestyle based one, though very regimented, and of course it costs $. I don't recall anything leaping out at me in the forums that participation was ultimately successful.

I believe the criticism of his book, springboarding from three trials, was here:

Perhaps this is a fourth trial, then. Looks like it's leads are mainly in private clinics, and you need to live within an hour of the sites to participate.

please don’t let yourself get taken in by some of these off the wall ‘treatments’. They play on the heartstrings and desperation felt by caregivers as they watch their loved ones decline. When and if there is ever a real cure… it’s going to be on every tv and internet site imaginable.
