Hi Kimber, I'm sorry to hear you are starting down this road. I believe there is another group Living With Dementia, or a similar name. Though all have much to contribute on this forum, I find the posts from Iris especially helpful. She has info on best practices as you learn to deal with this diagnosis. Some that come to mind are (1) Socialize having a network of friends/family to talk with can be helpful, (2) Challenge your mind with Puzzles. I have a brother with EO and we frequently play word games, (3) Exercise - in my brother's case he has a set of friends he walks with regularly. These steps and others will not reverse the progress of the disease, but in many cases have been shown to slow down the progression. Good luck to you, and keep coming back here for the learning and support.

I'm so sorry, Kimber. This disease is so individual, and I don't know much about early onset. Like concerned sister said, there's a sub-forum for people with the disease—I think you can see the forum over to the right hand side of the screen just under the community guidelines —→
