Husband newly diagnosed and was still working
My 74 year old husband started having dreams that he thinks are real back in November. He was officially diagnosed in March. He was running his own business into the ground. Found out he hadn’t filed taxes in 5 years. Made him close the business and now we are being sued by one of his clients for $1M. If we lose this case, we will be homeless. I have lawyers for both issues, but what do I do with my husband? The only thing he knows is working but I’m to the point of taking away his computer and phone. We are not rich people. Thoughts?

It all depends on how advanced his dementia is. I let my husband use his computer, but it's not connected to the internet. He doesn't know the difference. I also put his cell on airplane mode so I don't have to take it away.
Hopefully the lawyers will take care of your business problems. You're doing what needs to be done.

Welcome to the forum . Yes you should take them away, don’t let him do any more damage. You need to talk to the lawyer about your holding power of attorney for all finances and healthcare, and he needs to not have telephone or internet access. Freeze his credit . There are others here in your boat who have been financially ruined and you don’t get a do-over.

What kind of lawyer am I looking for? I have a tax lawyer and one for the civil suit. Thanks.

for powers of attorney and financial planning including qualifying your husband for Medicaid, you want a certified elder law attorney. Look for lists by location at nelf.org
