Today's Win

After some conversations with my state senator (and her super nice aide) the state of Delaware passed a resolution today naming September 22-29, 2024 FTD Awareness Week. It was oddly emotional to be there to see it pass.

You raised this issue with your legislator, right? You are helping make such important history! Congrats, no matter what role you played — even "just" advocating or sending a note or educating others is SO important. Things like this will help PWDs and families (and our entire community) in the future. Thank you for sharing!

Ok. This is kind of cool. I've been following Emma and Bruce Willis' story because it came out around the same time my husband was diagnosed. It's nice that she acknowledged the accomplishment of getting FTD Awareness Week recognized in Delaware. Emma is such a great advocate for families dealing with FTD at other dementias.
