DH took a shower today without being asked cajoled etc etc etc. It has been at least 2years since this has happened. I am happily dumbfounded. I complimented him and he replied “It doesn’t take much to make you happy does it?” I answered Yes, it doesn’t take much.
Praise the Lord!

What a nice surprise! My DH decided that he needed a bath the other night. All went well until it was time to get out of the tub. He couldn't do it! It took 1/2 hour of yelling, pushing and pulling to eventually get him out!

Wow, I just had the shower discussion with my DH (to no avail) 5 minutes prior to walking in here to read the boards today. I'm happy to know there's still hope for us, take the win and enjoy! :-)

awesome! I got my husband to shower 2x a week by setting Sun & Wed as “our” shower days. I would get everything ready for him (washcloth, towel, body wash, razor, denture cleaner etc) and tell him his shower is ready. I put his clean clothes on the bed and once he was in the shower I gathered his dirty ones. It worked! I got the idea from the book “The 36 Hour Day” which explained why they don’t want to shower.
