Dementia is torture. It is agony. It chips away bit by bit. It will take tiny pieces for awhile and then it takes a big shocking hunk that makes you feel like you can't breathe.

Hello PKidd, So well said. Hold on to taking one day at a time, focus on what blessings you have had and still have in your life and know that the darkness you feel today can clear - maybe this afternoon or tomorrow. I go through really dark times when all hope is lost, then the next day or two it lightens for a while. Take care, know you are not alone and keep praying for strength and wisdom.

So sorry, and can totally relate. Like Denise1847 said, it can change this afternoon or tomorrow…I go through a few good days and feel like I can handle it and then, wham, from nowhere things turn horribly bad…no way to predict it or head it off. Hang in there…
