Hello,

Someone (maybe BW) posted a link to detailed stages.

https://static1.squarespace.com/static/6372d16ea4e02c7ce64425b7/t/63f7b80d80d8aa3e3aa4a47d/1677178894184/DBAT.pdf

For Stage 6, it lists occipital blindness - left eye doesn't function.

Has anyone experienced this with their LO? If so, what did you first notice.

Other than the depth perception issue, I had not thought of anything further. (and I know that the color black can be confusing to PWD) I keyed in 'Alzheimers Blindness' and found an interesting article at American Academy of Opthamology.

    https://www.aao.org/eye-health/diseases/alzheimers-disease-dementia-eye

The article talks of the connection.

Thanks for the link. I'll check it out. I know of depth perception, peripheral issues, etc. but never hear of blindness in the left eye.

Then there’s also wet macular degeneration. Mom had dry and it turned wet, which we discovered because of vision issues in her good eye. She couldn’t see out of the center of it.
