@ Lane Simonian
Lane, I have had insomnia for many years and have been on several different classes of sleep aids. Do you have a suggestion for an essential oil to help me get to sleep?

Lavender and sweet orange appear to be two of the better essential oils to improve sleep. Running them in a diffuser for an hour or two each night seems to work best. They can also be put on a pillowcase (a couple of drops), although they might stain the pillowcase.
Best wishes to you, Iris.

Thank you for this information, Lane! I already have lavender essential oil, and I have an oil which is called "citrus", perhaps it contains some orange oil.

Good, Iris. The citrus oil should work whether it contains orange or not.

I will use both tonight!

Last night I slept for 11 hours from midnight until 11 am. I used both the lavender and the citrus oils, inhaling directly from the bottles, three times, divided by a few minutes. They seemed to have helped a lot! Thanks again, Lane!
