    What if you just approached with something like. I know you must be so busy getting ready for the move/ or have so much on your mind right now/ we are just so pressed for time while I’m here, I hope you don’t mind but I made an appointment for us with the lawyer. She might be a bit annoyed that you are over stepping but because you are just trying to be helpful maybe she would let it slide. She might also be relived that you made the appointment for her.

    I would absolutely call the attorney, you are perfectly within your rights to do so and you can explain the situation. If the lawyer knows her s/he’s probably already aware.

    Definitely call the lawyer! Take advantage of your mom’s openness to dealing with things and get everything sorted now.

    If you're moving her to your state, you might want a new attorney there who is familiar with laws in your state unless mom has solid LTC insurance or unlimited assets to pay for care.
