Yes yes and yes. My DW has complained of stomach ache for at least 6 hrs. She has had Xrays, MRI, upper and lower scopes and the docs always say they can find no issues.

My DH has had a bad knee since his youth (injured it by running into a basketball goal post). He has always complained of it hurting before it rained, etc. His bone sticks out a little when his knee is bent. Although he takes 2 Alieve daily (has for a few years), he now complains at least 4 days/week and repeats it while bending his knee to show me or who ever is here the bone sticking out. I just nod or say it hurts? Don't know what else to do, but just go on about our day.

wife, approx stg 6 does not complain but informs of many ailments that disappear in moments, I try to follow through and will be basically asked what the heck I’m talking about….. good luck as we’re all in the same confused state along with the person we’re trying to care for….

My DH has had chronic back pain for a very long time, but he NEVER complained and always refused to even take a Tylenol. He was one tough cookie.
However, for the last few years he complains about it quite often. I give him a couple Tylenol and then ask him, a few hours later, how his back feels. He says … oh, my back is fine, I haven’t had back pain for months. Then the Tylenol wears off, and we start the cycle again. I’m just happy the Tylenol gives him some temporary relief.

YES! My DH is complaining about everything. Every joint in his body hurts (especially his knees), he has a headache, chest pains, stomach ache, ringing in his ear, sore throat, you name it. This is happening now every. single. day. We've seen at least one specialist for all of these different symptoms. Not sure where we're going from here; he's decided that since I'm such a poor caregiver, he must find somebody else. Starting new meds this week, hopefully they will help the situation!

Yes. Mom goes in cycles. Something will hurt. We will get that investigated- usually the answer is that nothing is wrong or it’s just not a big deal. Then she will move onto the next body part, eventually over several months she will run through several different body parts and go back to the first one. The bad part is that none of us( me, the AL nurse, the doctors) can rustle up of sense of urgency anymore because we know it’s a lost cause.
