Is formication a symptom of Alzheimer’s, I have mixed dementia and I seem to get this sensation quite often.

I was diagnosed with alz 18 months ago, and have tried to learn a lot about the disease, and have not heard formication being a common symptom-in fact I've never heard it discussed as a symptom. But I've also learned this disease affects everyone differently. Maybe ask your neurologist. Sorry I couldn't be more help. Bill

Welcome Goosebump and Billw. I'm sorry I could not welcome you earlier but I have been sick. Formication indeed can be a symptom in Alzheimer's Disease. There might be medication to ameliorate this problem. How are you handling it, Goosebump?

Goosebump and Billw, please keep posting and keep us updated. Do you have other questions?
