Talking on the phone

My DW who has EOAD, has been talking on her phone to a lady that has a business selling clothing. Ally (the lady) streams her sales shows on Facebook. My DW is talking to her like she is on FaceTime. I’m hoping it’s ok that I just let her do this. Also she has bought so many items that I have locked her card. When she asks, I just say there. Must be a problem with the card and I will check on it tomorrow. I feel bad having to lie to her but don’t know what else to do.

Welcome to the forum. You did the right thing to lock the card and honestly, you probably need to get her off the phone and internet completely. She could give this woman or anyone else your checking account information and then where would you be? This is always a hard threshold to cross, but safety has to drive the decision making. This forum is full of stories of people who have lost their life savings because they didn't intervene soon enough. Put her phone in airplane mode and change your wifi password, whatever it takes.

Is she actually talking to her … or does she just think she’s on a FaceTime call with her while the Facebook Live is playing? If it’s the former, you need to keep her from talking to strangers on the phone. If it is the latter… then yes they sometimes think they are talking to people on TV shows too

it’s the latter. She’s talking to a Facebook live stream. She thinks she is on a FaceTime call with the person. I let her continue to talk as it seems she likes it.
