There are many people on the forum that I often think of. I know Jo C had some serious health problems, and I wonder how she is doing. Has anyone heard from her recently?

Hello there Ed. It is always good to hear your voice and I saw you twice today! Please do not be a stranger; you have been one of the great members who is highly thought of in this electronic extended "family."

Thank you kindly for thinking of me. I continue to have some dwindle issues in a few joints and certainly, a bit of the "slows," but am moving and thank heavens, intact from the shoulders up which we know from experience is a tremendous positive for sure.

My mobility has some ouchie slow down bits; am moving but not as energetically dynamic and am astonished to have that happen. Can still move about, but it is a bit painful and the energy levels are not as high gear as they used to be. Still - I am blessed and am very thankful for all that remains and especially, especially, especially that above the shoulders continues to be intact and functioning normally as always. I am truly and deeply grateful for that.

I keep busy with matters that can be handled on computer or voice on the phone. I do a little assistance here and there and also continue to be active with family a bit here and there; just not as much as it had been. One of my beloved downtime pleasures is reading. I do need to find some good fiction books as I have already read so many. (I am unintentionally a fast reader.) Being out and about is more difficult and I do not do as much of that as I used to; cest la vie! I am not a needful person and my "wants" are small. Love what comes my way most of the time and always have something of interest, even if it is only on a page or screen. Life can be simple if one lets it be so. Not bad at all and am truly, deeply and sincerely thankful for so much and remember to think and say, "thank you!"

How are you doing and what are your days like now - you certainly had one very complex journey with so much on your hands and you did it so well; I always admired your insight and handling of your care and personal issues.

Take good care of you and know you are thought of as so many of us from the "old" online family are - it has been an evolving journey, that is for sure and here we are; different but still the same as complex as that can sometimes be and meeting new people all the time.

    J.

Jo, thanks for posting. I'm so sorry you have to deal with that. I know it's a very hard thing. But your attitude will carry you a long way. And I'm glad you have that to fall back on. I'm so glad you posted.

I answered your post on the other thread too.

Jo I am also so glad to hear your update and to have a chance to say thank you for all of your support over the years. I am planning on stepping back somewhat as Ed has done—-I can tell that that is what I need to do over these next few weeks and months. But thank you, thank you, thank you.

Love you "guys," we have spent long journeys together, and have shared our feelings which has given so much and I thank everyone who helped buoy me up when I felt as thought I were "sinking," while moving through the worst part of my journey of a LO with dementia.

Hugs and affection being sent your way,

    J.
