CPAP challenges

My mother and I are caring for my father with Alzheimer’s. We have tried everything but we cannot get my father to use his CPAP. Curious if others struggle with this and have any advice or resources to share? It’s mostly behavioral and irritability — he takes it off after being frustrated and everyone has gone to sleep.

Hi dottigolightly - welcome to 'here', but sorry for the reason.

Depending on what stage, I doubt you will be able to get him to continue using it.

Sorry, but depending on stage, would it really matter a whole lot? I know a couple folks who just cannot use one, anyway.

My husband and I both use CPAP, and we each wish we didn’t need to because it’s cumbersome and a struggle. And we understand why we need it. I would consider doing whatever makes his and your family’s lives easier. I’d be stopping the CPAP if it means one less daily battle.
