GOD IS WITH YOU AND ME

Psalm 139:16-18 New International Version

“Your eyes saw my unformed body;

all the days ordained for me were written in your book

before one of them came to be.

17 How precious to me are your thoughts, God!

How vast is the sum of them!

18 Were I to count them,

they would outnumber the grains of sand—

when I awake, I am still with you.”

Fellow Caregivers, when I was a caregiver, I kept thinking I was in God’s classroom learning what love meant. As I read the above verse, I realize my time caring for my parents was not a surprise to God. It was already written in His book. This meant He knew how I felt and how I took care of them. Yes, God gives us freewill, but He knows what we will choose before we do. I’m glad I was a caregiver for my parents, but I so wish I could have been more patient. Of course, I was human so sometimes I wasn’t. I’d ask for forgiveness, pray and keep trying to be kind. And it is a comfort to know now and then, God was and is with me.

Prayer:

Lord, help me love like Your Son Jesus. In His name I pray. Amen.
