Merry Christmas
Wishing all of you a Merry and Blessed Christmas Day. I know things may not seem very merry right now but I hope that each of us can find something to be grateful for today and know that you are blessed and loved. For me, I am grateful that my DH is being well taken care of in MC today even though I can't be with him due to having Covid.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all my forum friends. I am grateful for all your posts and making me feel not quite so alone. I am grateful for some close friends who haven’t “left”. And for my beautiful memories of Christmases past.

Merry Christmas Brenda I know I have so much to be thankful for and that I don’t have COVID but the day after Christmas and I’m exhausted we had family Christmas Eve and family again Christmas Day. No one realises the physical and mental strain it takes to get through these times; helping in and out of the car, the noise and grandchildren, the house, sitting at a table, a plate of cut up food, the dribbles, the falling asleep, the conversation (with Aphasia) on face time. Today I’m done and all I feel like doing is weeping. And now our dearest son is flying in for 1 night only (as much as I hate to say it, thank goodness it’s only 1 night on his own) up again at 5.30 this morning, ha ha I dream of sleeping. Oh well onward and upward, a cup of tea, a deep breath, maybe the Sydney to Hobart on tv will put my darling DH to sleep and so will I.

Biggles, I know the struggles you're talking about. I was right there with you this time last year. Onward and upward used to be my battle cry. Things have changed with DH in MC but I sat down and wept this morning suddenly overcome. Deep breath, as you said, and onward and upward. Sending big hugs.

Happy Holidays to all, you are all a blessing to me and have been a great source of comfort since my wife’s “official” diagnosis earlier this year. Even though I’ve been living with this terrible disease for nearly 14 years, I only found my way here to this group earlier this year. It’s made a tremendous difference to be able to be with people who get it, and as horrible as it all is, I don’t feel as completely all alone in this as I used to. So, thank you everyone!!! You all are a very special group. And Brenda- I hope you’re starting to feel better!
With Love,Karen
