When Enthusiasm Is Gone

Isaiah 40:30-31New International Version

30 "Even youths grow tired and weary,
    and young men stumble and fall;
31 but those who hope in the Lord
    will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
    they will run and not grow weary,
    they will walk and not be faint."

me: When my enthusiasm to keep going is just not there, this verse says to hope in the Lord. I pray and read uplifting Bible verses and inspirational Christian books, and the Holy Spirit speaks to me with the encouraging thoughts I need. Hoping you too hope in the Lord and look to Him when life isn't the way you want it to be. His Holy Spirit is faithful and will help you every day.

I have had other issues in life as we all have but this one is harder, I think because there is no hope of getting better and the hopelessness is terrible, So you are right putting hope in the lord is the only hope we have.

Shell, I prayed for you. Think about getting some of Joyce Meyer's books. When I feel down, she has lifted me up many times. Also, pray often, especially in the morning. The Holy Spirit will give you what you need. You are not alone. Have faith. God is faithful.

I agree and when we pray and hope in the Lord, we are helped and lifted up by His Spirit.
